The period of confinement has been extended, and as a result we are obligated to cancel Brunch -In The City #4 on Sunday April 19.

We are so sad to announce this, but public health and wellbeing is top priority, particularly during the ongoing crisis.

We are not the only ones in this situation. Music festivals, nightclubs, and events around the world are also facing cancellations and closures, putting into jeopardy the entire industry and the people it employs.

We acknowledge that clubbing and festivals are not essential at this time, and we do not want to draw attention away from those who are at risk: the sick and those who care for them. We also express our deepest appreciation to all healthcare staff: in this battle, they are truly heroes.

We are in this together

We find ourselves in a critical moment of history. Many of us are separated from our loved ones, and this raises an important topic: the need for community.

The sentiment most characteristic of the scene is the unification of people towards our common interest.

From internationally-renowned DJs live-streaming to online music festivals born spontaneously on social media to encourage us to stay home. From emerging artists sharing videos expressing themselves to people teaching us how to dance in our living room to make confinement more bearable. All supporting each other to remove the distance between each other.

For those of us who love this scene, what is giving us strength to keep going is the desire to dance together and feel the warm embrace of our community again.

TICKET REFUND: There are alternatives to refunds ūüôā

We are optimistic of what the future holds and our next dance together in the sun! For a small company like Brunch the financial burden of refunds are extremely large, so instead of asking for a return of your ticket, we want to offer you the ability to exchange it for a ticket to any Brunch in the future of your choosing. We understand that the financial pressures of the crisis are not exclusive to us, so we request this action only from those who feel their situation allows it.

With this small gesture, you will be contributing directly to ensuring the survival of Brunch during the crisis, and keeping club and festival culture alive to #saveourscene

When you enter your Resident Advisor (only website, not available in App) account, after the date of the cancelled event has passed, you will find these three options:

  1. Keep your ticket and redeem it for a future Brunch.
Log into your Resident Advisor account and go to ‚ÄúMy Tickets‚ÄĚ, then select ‚ÄúTransfer Tickets‚ÄĚ. Using this option, you will contribute to saving the scene and you will receive a 50% discount for a second ticket to that event.
  2. Request Refund.
Log into your Resident Advisor account and go to ‚ÄúMy Tickets‚ÄĚ, then select ‚ÄúRefund Tickets‚ÄĚ. You will receive the amount in the next 3 – 5 business days. *Distribution costs are managed by RA
  3. Donate.
Log into your Resident Advisor account and go to ‚ÄúMy Tickets‚ÄĚ, and select ‚ÄúDonate to Save Our Scene‚ÄĚ. Doing so will be help save the scene by donating the cost of your ticket to the promoter. Choosing this option you will receive a 50% discount on a ticket to any Brunch -In The City or Brunch -In The Park event in the future of your choosing.

This 3 options will be available from next day after the cancelled event date. For example, if you have tickets for the Brunch on April 19th, these options will be available on April 20th until Monday, May 4th. You will have 14 days to choose any of these three options.

We will resume our normal schedule of events as soon as health authorities deem it safe to do so, however, if subsequent cancellations occur these options for deferral, refund, or donation will be continued. For those with tickets to a future Brunch -In The City event, if that event is also cancelled due health authorities, these options will become available from the day after the event date.

Although we face an uncertain future, we are committed to doing everything in our power so that we can continue have a place for us to celebrate

Finally, we would like to join in unison with Resident Advisor in a call to #saveourscene. This is a decisive moment, with music suffering a great blow and needing to preserve its continued existence. It is time to save music! You can read the manifesto by clicking on this link.

On behalf of the entire Brunch team, we want to insist that at this time we must focus on the sick and the people that care for them, and we stand in solidarity with all those affected.

Thank you sincerely for your support and understanding.
